Slow Motion: Fast Cars
Slow Motion: The technique of Slow Motion and Panning were not only new concepts but also very challenging for me to get just right. I took over 1000 photographs before I starting producing something that I felt was decent. After I did research to get some ideas for photos that might work for these special techniques, I had to find the right location and time of day (actually night!). Capturing light trails with your camera is a lot of fun! I headed to a local bridge (it was safe!) and walked halfway down the bike lane and set up my tripod and set the camera settings. Soon as cars started driving by at 60 and 70 miles an hour, I photographed them. This is one of my favorite shots, because it feels simple, smooth and yet if you were there it felt and sounded like I was a flagger at the final lap of a NASCAR race!
